FAQ

How do I know if this event is for me?

If you're interested in any of these three things:

  1. Vocal behavior, spoken communication and social interactions in infants at risk of autism

  2. Language training for children with autism and other disabilities

  3. Helping students establish self-awareness, goal-setting and achievement, and autonomy is the heart of educators world-wide. While behavior analysis has provided some useful tools for educators in individual and group settings, there are both misconceptions and limitations of their application. This presentation will provided an alternative model to helping educators approach developing the early stages of self-management skillsets with their learners.

So back to why you’re likely here - the Livestream!

Can I attend online?

Yes! There is an online option, and it's actually a little bit cheaper than in-person. It’s available for those who would prefer to join online or can't make the travel to the physical location. We know there are competing events in everyone's life. Additionally, it's quite impactful on the environment to travel and attend an event, especially one that revolves around the theme of "Saving the world." As such, we've made sure that you can log in online and watch the events as they occur throughout the day. You won't be able to contact the EXACT same event as those in Bentonville, AR. However, you'll have access to the same materials (e.g., Participant Packet) as well as live chat with a moderator who is knowledgeable about the event content. One thing that we will expect you to miss out on in the livestream is the ability to watch a few short (1-2 minutes) demonstrations that include recorded videos of clients. The authors’ have permission to share these in workshops and conferences; however, we will not stream the video for the sake of privacy. We hope you understand!*

Can I receive the recording if I'm not available the day of the event?

Yes! We will be sending the link out to everyone after the event. We expect it to be about a week after the event at most to access the recorded version. This is a great option for anyone that can’t re-arrange their schedule to attend in-person or during the Livestream. We will place a 45-day time limit on viewing this way and being able to still receive CEUs (if you’ve opted for that option).

If I sign up for online, then what happens next?

For those jumping in on the Livestream - you'll receive materials that we will be using and sharing at the event approximately 3 days prior. We will also begin emailing you further expectations about 2 weeks prior to the event.

Are there Continuing Education Units available?

Yes! We offer CEUs for:

State required Prof. Dev. State of Arkansas Certified Teachers- 7 HRS PD

State required CPE’s for State of Arkansas Speech Language Pathologists,

Content Area 1- 7 HRS PD

Board Certified Behavior Analysts

Carbone 3.5 CEU’s

O’Donnell  & Malady 1 CEU

Total 4.5  BACB CEU

How long will I be able to view the live stream after I purchase it?

You will have up to 45 days after the day of the livestream to view your purchase.

*Streaming is best with a dedicated direct line. Although the event can be streamed through 4G and LTE and wireless connections, it's recommended that you plan to attend with a direct ethernet connection with at least 5Mb/s connection. We're glad to answer any questions about this at the contact information above. All attendees will receive a recording of the event as a part of registration. Data usages may apply and are your sole responsibility.

*Any photos or videography taken at the conference by ArkABA (or member of ArkABA) may be used in future conference collateral, appearing either in printed documents, video productions, or on the ArkABA website, affiliate websites and social media profiles. We appreciate your consent to use this media for the purpose of sharing and promoting the movement. Submission of your conference registration form to ArkABA 2017 acknowledges acceptance of these terms and provisions of registration.
